Richard,

Try changing xqtpx.homelinux.net:5900 to localhost:5900 and see if that
helps.

Thank you very much for that great advice, it works now ;) !!!! But actually i don't know why! Could you might explain it ?

ssh just forward 5901 to 5900 local but how works the connection to port5900 on the remote computer ?

realy wierd for me :)

Thanks very much again !!!!!!

Hi James

It works perfectly to connect to the server without shh...
With ssh tunneling the error occurs: "server closed connection unexpectedly" when trying to connect to the localhost (localhost:1)

This means that VNC Viewer is connecting to the SSH client

but that the SSH

server cannot make the corresponding connection out to the

VNC Server, at

the other end. Check the port numbers and the hostname you

have specified

that the connection be forwarded to. In particular, if VNC

Viewer is set to

only allow local loopback connections, you *must* specify

"localhost" as the

remote hostname to forward the connection to.

Thanks you very much for your answer,

acutally i'm not quite sure what i done wrong.
Here a screenshot from the configuration:

www.binbesoffen.de/putty.jpg

If ssh esablished a connection to xqtpx.homelinux.net he will open a port 5901 local witch is forwardet to xqtpx.homelinux.net:5900..

In the vnc viewer it self, i try to connecto to localhost:1 (for port 5901 )

This configuration its self works within the lan itself but not now since i try to access from the internet :(

Thanks a lot again James!!!
