server closed connection unexpectedly

Hi, there,
I setup a VNC server at my remote desktop with Windows2k and locked the system with 
ctr+alt+del, then used VNC client to connect it, but it reported "server closed 
connection unexpectedly". Does the server still run if I lock win2k system? Anyone has 
such experience?
