Actually, I may be close to a complete solution to the original
request.
My Unicode already can make fonts with any arbitrary set of Unicode
glyphs, in such a way that a non-programmer can easily direct the
creation of the required font.
Most alternate language fonts on the internet have ASCII for
characters 21-7E, and other sets of characters for characters
A1-FF. The ISO character sets all do this. For such pages, all you
need is to create the required font, and then use Voyager's
prefs to attach the font to all text sizes. If you have the font
in 6 different sizes, you can attach them in order to H1-H6,
and so headings, sub-headings &c will come out ok.
I have already made glyphs for Japanese Hiragana script,
and I am trying to see if I can get a mapping of the
Hiragana script onto A1 to 7F like the ISO10646 sets. If
there is such a thing (and I can find it), I will let this
group know, and can email it to anyone interested. I
suspect that if there is such a thing, nearly all
Japanese pages will use it. The Unicode book
seems to imply that there is indeed such a thing.
Incidentally, I am told that
www.etl.go.jp/~yamana/clients-test.html
is ideal for testing Japanese pages on. This also
looks as if there is such a thing as I want.
already do the above for most languages,
using ISO10646 fonts. But forn some languages,
such as Arabic, you need more.
Incidentally, I *better* succeed - I've put *lots*
of work into my Unicode implementation! I think
I'm suffering from OCD. Providing I don't recover,
I'll finish it soon - I hope, within the next 2 months.
