The wanpipe error is because you don't have any t1/e1/t3 interaces, it will
always happen unless you install one, don't worry about it. I always get the
ipsec deault route thing as well, I think its because there are no VPN tunnels
up. It doesn't mean you don't have a 0/0 route. Hope this helps. :)

didn't scream at me that way...
I commit then save and reboot

But on reboot I see the message on ipsec_setup defaultroute cannot cope!!!!
and also this one
Starting Wan Interfaces: FATAL Error Inserting wanpipe
(/lib/modules/2.6.20/kernel/drivers/net/wan/wanpipe.ko)
No such Interface

As I said nothing is plugged in yet, to the intefaces purely jsut test
enviroment at present so not sure if this has anything to do with anything or
not, but if i plug hub in interfaces become green light, but did not take it
any further on pinging, etc

Thanks

Jeff

Hi Jeff,

Try "set protocols static route 0.0.0.0/0 next-hop 222.2.1.97".

We use CIDR equivalents format for netmasks (examples here on wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Classful_network).

Take care,

Allan

Yes, looks about right, but I'd make one change. As those two /28s
are contiguous, I'd change eth0 to to
set interface ethernet eth0 address 111.1.1.30 prefix-length 27
which covers the same address range but only uses one of your
allocated addresses.

Personally, I always like having a name server configured - it can
make diagnostics a bit easier.

Best,
Justin
