I used Mailwasher for a while but dropped it after discovering SpamPal. That tool may be worth investigating.

I looked at SpamPal. The problem with it is that it works on the *local* level, requiring you to download all that spam *before* you process and delete it. Mailwasher works at the *server* level, so you never have to take time downloading something you *don't want* in the first place. :)
