I support Janet's idea that we get a committee of some sort to oversee
the process of job-expertise allocation.

Interesting as I had been getting the *Welcome to Earthlink - this page
is
under construction.* Today I get the HTTP 403. So something has been
going
on.

I assume some folks have been busy with the Thanksgiving holiday and the
project will be starting up soon. However, after getting 2 emails though
the
list, it is now quiet. Perhaps for the short term we should continue to
use
this list for communication.

There were several people who volunteered to work on the site itself,
but I
don't think we ever agreed on what we wanted on the site so that is a
bit of
the cart before the horse.

There was quite a bit of interest in this cooperative marketing idea
with
many folks volunteering to help. I know there are many skills out there
and
in many different areas. I thought that putting a list of members and
their
areas of expertise was one section we wanted on the site. Perhaps we
need to
start with that --get a solid list of who wishes to participate along
with
their skill set, and appoint someone to keep track of it all. Then we
would
have a list to pull in people in the different tasks -- designing the
site,
graphics, copy writing etc.

Although I like the way this has been so free-form with ideas popping in
from all over, I think we need to have a committee or some structure or
this
will never get off the ground.

Just my two cents.

Janet
