If you want to maintain a landing page under /os/, that's fine.  The 
closest page that exists right now under the Distribution CG is here:

http://opensolaris.org/os/community/distribution/links/

However, it would have to be expanded to cover all the topics you mentioned.

I have no personal preference here, it was just a possible suggestion.

My personal feeling is that it's a least a month or so off before we see 
our first real external contribution.  But I'm not "in the loop" on 
who's making what decisions and when processes will be in place.
