There are also repos in China. Two, I believe, are hosted by Sun and community members and (currently) mirror the release/ repo only:

http://pkg.unix-center.net:80/  (public)

http://pkg-edu.unix-center.net:80/ (CERNET (university and research network))

And four others are mirrors of the Sunfreeware repo:

http://sfwpkg.opensolaris-center.net:80/ (for public network)
http://sfwpkg-edu.opensolaris-center.net:80/ (for CERNET)
http://sfwpkg.unix-center.net:80/ (for public network)
http://sfwpkg-edu.opensolaris-center.net:80/ (for CERNET)

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to verify any of these before sending this message as my system seems to be acting up this morning.

Regards,

Marty

I've added content to the /os/package page that lists the pkg repos, descriptions, and commands for setting authority, let me know if this

The example you provide is for pkg.sunfreeware.com:80, but that should actually be pkg.sunfreeware.com:9000.

I'd prefer not to create an additional page and link for this if we can avoid it. Please send along the community repos, locations and descriptions that we should add to the page and I'll get them incorporated.

At the moment, these are the only additional community ips repositories I'm aware of are:

* Blastwave - http://blastwave.network.com:10000/

Blastwave is a collective effort to create a set of binary packages of free software, that can be automatically installed to a Solaris computer (sparc or x86 based) over the network. Blastwave has a substantial build server farm for the use of the software developers and maintainers in the Solaris community. All software is built and tested in a standardized build environment using Sun ONE Studio 8, Sun ONE Studio 10, Studio 11 tools as well as GCC.

* Life With Solaris - http://pkg.lifewithsolaris.jp:10000/

This was a repository of various multimedia applications for Solaris, but a recent post on their index page seems to indicate that there are legal issues surrounding their packages and they have ceased all package operations for the moment.

* Sunfreeware.com - http://pkg.sunfreeware.com:9000/

The latest x86 companion CD software packages for OpenSolaris.
