To be honest, I don't like using "We" in that manner, unless the Wikimedia technical community (For various definitions of that rather ambiguous terms) has discussed the issue and come to agreement. The "We" is clearly a group of people who met up at Wikimania and thought this would be a good idea. Which is fine, as that's usually how most good ideas start.
