I installed a D-Link Wireless Router for a friend. It has a desktop
computer attached by wire and a Notebook computer using the wireless
card. Both computers are running XP Home SP1 for the Desktop and SP2 for
the notebook. They were connected via a wired router prior to this with
no problems. They use a cable modem.

Since the install, the Desktop can only stay connected to the internet
for about 10 minutes. They are using ZoneAlarm. After losing the
connection on the desktop, even turning Zone Alarm off will not restore
the connection. The computer must be rebooted.

What could be the cause?

The notebook works great with the wireless connection, unless I try to
enable WEP. At that point, the notebook boots, thinks about things for a
while, then shuts down and reboots.

Any help on either of these problems is appreciated.
