I hardly ever say "(I could be wrong)"*,
* Normally I delete the message and do not send...*
so, it is a definite RED FLAG... <grin>
I wanted to throw that idea out there and see if anything
"hit the fan"...
Maybe I did not try hard enough to use the VMs, but
there was very little I wanted to do in them anyway...
I do like the BartPE and Wayne-XPPE CDs better.
I even run full versions OSs (unactivated) for the short
times I "need" to do something too "odd" to try in an
actual installed setup...
If you have a spare cloned HD that you can afford to
trash, (as in - not your only backup), that is even better
for what I want to do sometimes...
Since I only have the type of OS that needs to be activated,
and run it on _exactly_ the same hardware, there is no problem
with using the license more than once at a time...
Sorry getting so way off the original question...

After looking at the config setup again I don't believe you're correct in
this instance as VPC has access straight to the LPT port. It's not like the
networking that uses a virtual port to a physical port. Printing uses
drivers not to access the port but rather the device from the port while
networking uses the drivers to access the port & then to control the data
stream. I've only tested the networking part of what I presented here but I
have heard of others printing to 98 printers from within a VM.
