Are you nuts? These are college kids and would forget the PW and
forget to backup the keys before "writing ones and zeros" when tech
support tells them to. <sigh>

if a college student's laptop is stolen, it's not because the thief
wants their term papers... they want the hardware. :)

One could also encrypt the file or folder [is this a feature in Home]
by opening Windows Explorer, right-clicking the file or folder then
click Properties & on the General tab, click the Advanced button
selecting "Encrypt contents to secure data" check box. Once a folder
is encrypted any file that is added to that folder also becomes encrypted.
