Jimmy, We're partway into a project to replace legacy Cisco wireless with Juniper (started under Trapeze). We're just under 1200 Juniper APs at this point.
Our legacy Cisco APs are autonomous; this was due to an issue with non-Cisco, non-Juniper controller hardware. We've been happy with Juniper controller hardware and ultra-thin client APs. There are some quirks with Cisco <-> Juniper inter-operation. Please feel free to contact me off list. Sincerely, J. We have strong experience with Cisco wireless, and may be asked to support a Juniper environment - hoping to understand a bit about the pros/cons and integration points/compatibility between the two vendors' technologies from the usual various angles (RF design, AAA, client support, mobility, etc.) Thank you, Jimmy New York University ********** Participation and subscription information for this EDUCAUSE Constituent Group discussion list can be found at http://www.educause.edu/groups/. ********** Participation and subscription information for this EDUCAUSE Constituent Group discussion list can be found at http://www.educause.edu/groups/.
