Hi Ed,
DX stations do send a serial number in RTTY RU style contests. DX is not
sent in the exchanges, it is just used in the settings to configure
WSJT-X as a non-NA station.
Pick the period (1st or 2nd, they are all even hi hi) that you think
will yield the best results. Either more interesting stations copied or
less QRM. Probably best not to switch around too often as others may be
trying to tail end you QSOs.
