I'll point out that it's better to start planning on migrating from CentOS 7.x to another platform (RHEL8, Rocky 8 et. al. , Debian, Ubuntu) as CentOS will be completely EOL mid 2024. The migration will need to happen anyway, so might as well roll it into the migration from xcat2 to confluent.
