I've re-tested the CVS version right now and :
- The target xmameopts.xml from Makefile.in makes the build fail, removing
  it makes the program build, but...
- I always get the following popup message : "Could not figure out how to
  use the installed xmame. It might be too old or too new"

Maybe the two are linked... I haven't had time to look yet, time to go to
sleep ;-)
