I have to admit, I didn't get this important bit of news, explicitly and unambiguously, from https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/3615/, but I did guess as much. I can also imagine the amount of work you've all put in to planning and developing this new extension, so understand me if I say I am quite shocked to know now that when I hesitated this morning, having disabled the new extension because of the loss of the Firefox Bookmarks toolbar, I was within a hair's breadth of deleting the del.icio.us folder the extension had created in my Firefox Bookmarks (I don't need it there) ... and so "losing" my del.icio.us bookmarks! Gulp. Good call! But not the way I'd like it to be. Please flag this up for other users -- and many apologies from me if I somehow missed this information on the extension site ... (And, yes, I do perform regular backups, but not daily ... I would have lost more than a handful of key, recent items.
