Bill!,<br/><br/>How is it just a Buddhist belief?! Who else denies cause and effect accept you? I agree with David Hume that it is difficult to pinpoint a necessary connection in a train of cause and effect events (Was it the darkness of the room that caused me to turn on the light or was it the flicking of the switch or the electric current or the heating of the filaments etc.), but that still doesn't rule out cause and effect; it's just difficult to breakdown).
