JMJM, As you noticed I have stayed out of that conversation. That was on purpose. But since you asked I would call all this type of discourse 'intellectual masturbation'. It might feel good when you're doing it but it won't help you conceive.
Zen practice is based on experience, not intellectualizing. If you want to experience Buddha Nature you'll first have to put down your attachments to and dependence on your intellect. Discourses like this one doesn't contribute to zen practice and in fact in most cases can even hinder it.
