What's your opinion on influences. Surely everyone has influences and it's
impossible to ignore them...no matter how hard you try.

All music will end up following some sort of pattern...sound I suppose is
different as there must be infinite variations, even beyond current
understanding, but the technology these days allows people to expore these
to the limit, and push the boundaries of sound further. I guess the same
goes for the execution.

My attraction to the music relates to the ability to express and conjure
feelings in the listener....why does everyone put the emphasis on making
things sound unique and unexplored. Surely music from an individual's soul
is unique no matter if it sounds slightly similar to something else, the
real talent is entrapping the listener in to your way of thinking.

I would disagree. Experimentation does not exist. You state, "so if I sit
down to make a track, if I do not start out with a concrete idea but instead

figure it out as i go, then this is "experimental" no matter how straight
ahead the resulting track is". There is no possible way to start something
without having any idea of it before hand. Simply being conscious of your
actions is enough information to disqualify your argument. To truly
"experiment", in techno for example, you would have to step outside of the
structure or language of "techno"; meaning "create" something "new" in
techno. It is not possible to do this because of the limitations of
language or structure of "techno" (or what ever you are referring to). You
can only "assemble" never "experiment". Looking forward to any comments.
