oldschool rave hardcore was much closer to current techno bpms than the
current deathmetal-created-with-a-909 stuff.  i can definitely see the
connection in some of the older UR stuff, like the previously mentioned
Riot EP (is that Mad Mike doing the hip-house-sounding rap on "Panic"?)
