Too right - I thought this might even be a bit of trolling. There is a TOTAL
F*CKING DIFFERENCE between the majority of identikit 'techno' records coming
out on these labels today and the classics you mentioned. They represented
the FIRST TIME those particular sequences had been programmed, the first
time that vibe had been attained. The pumping loops 'scene' has about as
much soul and charisma as a bag of lard.

There, I said it!

No disrespect, but I was pretty annoyed when I read in the T1000 interview
that

"as a Techno DJ, you basically rely on records by a small stable of artists
like Marco [Carola], Oliver [Ho], Jeff [Mills], Surgeon, Christian [Smith]
and a few others. I just can't see having to carry that many records where
it would be an issue."

I just think this is absurd - if techno is to be defined as this loops
sub-genre, we may as well kiss the whole thing goodbye!
