therefore, "it works" because those are his initials, and for no other
reason-- regardless of whether or not it reflects proper "design
aesthetics."

clever sarcasm aside my spelling isn't the greatest but one of my interest
is graphic design and modernist style fonts, looking at words the letter k
stands out like a sore thumb I think Plastikman looks
better with a c as in plastic man (lower case) of course this is just my
subjective opinion, of course I also do not ike the font Richie Hawtin likes
to use for his label.
No offence to Richie Hawtin, I'll offer my services to redesign the Plus 8
label.
