i dont have as much of a problem with a sample as i do with an
attempt to remix and entire track and put it in some context where
it is clearly uncomfortable. its like someone trying to remix the
main theme from coltrane's "a love supreme". it would be a
horrible idea.
and i didnt mean my criticism of that mix as a knock on felix. hes
not really an artist that i buy records from or respect, but i
have no real qualms with him. i think some people should just
think first, before they remix.
