I have seen Laurent Garnier on a number of occassions -- once in Montreal, once in Europe and another here in the US.
I agree - I think his programming is flawless and his ability to "put himself on the dancefloor" is what seperates him from the pack. He has a true understanding of dance music and is a DJ who balances the fine line of "educating" and "entertaining" -- it's what makes him great, period. The same set -- sure, one thing is for certain in a Garnier set is that you're bound to hear Donna Summer's I Feel Love or Love to Love You Baby, a handful of classic Chicago acid tracks and certainly some from Detroit. Playing a few offbeat cuts mixed in with his favorites does not constitute as "the same set for 5 years" Amusing. Seacrest...Out!
