Do the visually challenged claim for escort in handicapped higher class concision? R: Yes, they can, but it is not necessary unlike orthopedically disabled. 3. Why not the advocacy groups try for three percent reservation for persons with disabilities in railway reservations? R: I think you mean that berths in HP quota should be increased, for reserveing three % berths for persons with disabilities is not called for, as at any point of time such number of PWDs do not travel in trains, and this three percent results from confusing reservation in jobs and other schemes with railway reservation which is an altogether different concept. 4. Do you suggest any source for better understanding of the railway and air reservations for the differently abled? R: None to my mind, besides a piece of 2007 which I found on their website and which I had posted to accessindia, will send it if you require.
