you need not regret about your long name. you need not have your full name in your signature.

My signs are also quite inconsistent. It is very difficult to remember the exact drawing of all those letters. I regret that I should have been named with a very small name.

I use initials. It was allowed by the previous bank manager as his father-in-law was visually impaired. moreover, i never signed any cheque myself. Since it was a joint account, my wife signed all cheques. I use the net banking feature.

Last Saturday I had to submit my details for Know Your Customer programme. The new officer accepted my initials, but he mentioned Blind beside my name. He also told me that from now onwards all cheques have to be signed by both of us etc. etc. I am not sure, he also stopped the net banking facility. I could not access it yesterday. I shall have to verify it when I can manage to go to the bank again.

Dear friends: off course the blind can sign. But how could we find whether it is our sign or not? when I was studying BA my college librarian not permitted me to sign then he asked me the above question. I am suggested only put thumb not to sign because being a blind I could not find my sign.

hello,
even i have tried to learn signature with lot of practice and able to
make my signature properly with signature guide but when the things
comes to maintaining shape consistency even i am not able to
particularise because each time i make the signature with signature
guide it comes out accurately but shape does not come as made earlier.
so any tips would be of great help.
thanks,
mukesh.

Hi zoher,

I hear you. The question remains; how do you draw consistently without
seeing what you are drawing? Did you practice?

I have reached a stage where I have to sine about 5 to 6 times a year so I have very little practice. Most of those signatures don't matter much since they belong to things like couriers and attendance sheets. The only issue
is
with the bank and things like cheques and other financial documents where
shape consistency is important.

I have seen signature guides but not the kind you describe.
