Is you cam capable of capturing 1080p? Does your HDTV has a dSub input or DVI input? dSub is the regular VGA port which is also an analog connection.

The Canon HV20 has an HDMI port that I can get video play back digital to digital to HDTV without any Digital-Analog conversion loss. > Once I edit the show on my computer in HDV I can probably send it out HDMI to the TV if I have the right graphics/monitor card. I suppose they have cards with HDMI outputs. Looking at my computer it has PC Monitor, S Video and some other odd connection. All three are on one card/slot in the computer and used for feeding a monitor. In thinking about it, my Sony 46" HDTV does have a PC monitor in. I guess I could just feed it like a regular computer monitor. Not sure if that would be the right digital however. Keep in mind, the reason for doing this is to see 1080P or the highest quality signal on my HDTV for review before burning Blu-Ray disc. Once the Blu-Rays are burnt I could just play them into the HDTV. That is when i buy a Blu-Ray writer/reader. Thanks, Mark [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] Yahoo!
