It seems that one of the first major snafus was when they moved production from 
Canada to Mexico.  Supply chain of a critical component issue.  The guy 
managing the logistics of that got fired as I recall.  I don’t remember what 
critical part was left unordered and there was a huge lead time on it.

If Cambium waits just a little bit longer they can open a fabrication facility 
in Texas and hire the experienced Mexican crew - that used to assemble good 
radios :-)

  This smells like a similar problem for sure. 
  Assuming that this is a manufacturing and not a design issue,  my guess is 
that it's either some process causing a component crack (i.e. not properly 
baking a moisture sensitive part before assembly..causing popcorning, or a 
mechanical flex during separation), or possibly a counterfeit component.
