The 320 and 430 used a mixed pair arrangement. ..  that is,  both positive
and negative on the same pair... one on each wire.  The swapping is to
enable a cmm4 to power a 450i which only supports power arrangements which
have the same polarity on both wires in the pair.

The only other thing I would check on the syncinjector is to make sure it's
really a gigabit injector inside, since it is possible that the wrong board
got put in the case.   But that's just my paranoia talking-we've never had
one shipped with the wrong board to my knowledge.  If you want to check
this, the cover should come off with no tools,  only a fingernail.    The
board should say gigabit in it.
