That is patently false. There are far more poor white people than poor black people. Now the percentage of blacks as a group might be higher than the percentage of whites as a group (26% vs 10%), but the facts are that there are more poor whites. In fact there are almost double the amount of poor whites as poor blacks (19.7m vs 10.8m). So, where are all the stories of disenfranchised white poor people?
