The most amazing part about Android phones are the "mostly good enough"
models that sell for $50 to $60 a piece in developing nations. If you're a
person in Pakistan who makes a monthly salary in rupees equivalent to about
$250 or $300, you might buy a phone that costs $60.

These days it's a fairly decent thing with a MediaTek chipset that runs
Android 5.1 and has the full Play Store on it and can run 95% of the apps
that you and I run on our $350-650 phones.

This is how Android has >85% of worldwide market share. Apple does not care
about sub $100 or even sub $50 phones.
