It can be no-login but it has to be there. Does the client have any /tmp/amanda log files? Certain such log files contain the configured params at the top. That would tell you what the backup user is supposed to be. grep for CLIENT_LOGIN Or did I miss you saying that you HAD created an account on the client node? Deb
