As I stated in my "fait divers" in my reply on youness reply on the original mail, you can't just put stuff "only in the context menus" as these menus are only used by more advanced users. This sounds kind of silly to most of you I guess, but it's true. Think about all our mac-using friends who ddidn't have multi-buttons on apple-made mouses before the "Mighty Mouse". There is no problem with not having a right-mouse-button as on PCs most users don't know what it stands for.
As it's crack, imo, to have yet ANOTHER menu, now there's already 5, I placed "preferences", "plugins" and that one frequently used setting inAccount as they all apply to that account. An not to "only one contact/group". Youness said "change skin" is often used so it should be in the menus. Do you really think it is frequently used by novice users ? As long as it "Just Works (tm)" there's no need for them to find out how tro customise. If you want 'm to be able to customise their MSN client, do it the microsoft way, with sharable backgrounds. They seem stupid to us, but this is a more discoverable way of customising for "normal" users. Still this only changes some aspect. Changing all butons and stuff is more drastic and it involves your brain having to re-recognise all the icons and remember what action they're associated with. I don't think this is neededin the menus; especially having it there to be able to have yet another menu sounds 'weird'. "(19:10:10) uws: skin/appearance -> prefs" was also one of the first remarks on my draft proposal as I did have it in there first.
