As if this will stop them from complaining about ads. How many posts have we seen complaining about users rating apps "1-star, five star if it had feature X" where feature X was one of the main features of the app?

It's not like you WANT a "disable ads" feature to be easily discoverable. If every ad had a "hide" button next to it, you better believe that more than 4% of users would click it. But if you bury it in a menu, there will still be users who hate ads who will post 1-star reviews.

In my game, I say prominently at the top that it has adds and requires you to complete offers. I still get 1-star reviews because people hate the offers. As it turns out, I AM going to be ripping out the offers ASAP (waiting for the publisher to finish testing), so those 1-star reviewers will be ultimately getting their way, though I still had enough good reviews to keep a 4.2 average. The offers just didn't bring in enough money to overcome my own dislike of offers.
