We were coming from 5.1.2 to 7x ... did it twice because we thought we did
something wrong.

After restoring the 2nd time, we then went from 5.1.2 to 6.3 to 7.x.

The process was painful because support kept saying it was something we did
on the original upgrade. And after the usual sending of megatons of stuff
and over a week later it was determined that you needed to stop at v6
first.

What happened to us was that all the new fields on the user and groups forms
appeared on the client screen like they were there, but in actuality they
were not in the database. If you went into the admin tool they were there,
so you moved a field or even added another field and saved ... which should
have corrected any issue of not being the same ... NOT ... they were still
not in the database. Unexplainable except that once we started over and did
the extra step everything went fine.

It was frustrating and aggrevating. It took over 3 weeks to finally get it
done. Causing me to miss my production server window and now I'm still
waiting for that since last August. Worse than a Chinese puzzle!

** Susan,
Are you saying 6.01 prior to 6.3 ..
Is there some sort of upgrade functionality that is not in the 6.3.
User/Groups form..

Are they recommending any specific versions.. Patch X of ARS 6.01 , Patch
Y of ARS 6.3 and Patch Z of 7.0 then Patch 01 of 7.01 ?

It is like working in a Chinese puzzle Huh..
