** We were coming from 5.1.2 to 7x ... did it twice because we thought we did something wrong. After restoring the 2nd time, we then went from 5.1.2 to 6.3 to 7.x. The process was painful because support kept saying it was something we did on the original upgrade. And after the usual sending of megatons of stuff and over a week later it was determined that you needed to stop at v6 first. What happened to us was that all the new fields on the user and groups forms appeared on the client screen like they were there, but in actuality they were not in the database. If you went into the admin tool they were there, so you moved a field or even added another field and saved ... which should have corrected any issue of not being the same ... NOT ... they were still not in the database. Unexplainable except that once we started over and did the extra step everything went fine. It was frustrating and aggrevating. It took over 3 weeks to finally get it done. Causing me to miss my production server window and now I'm still waiting for that since last August. Worse than a Chinese puzzle!
