Misi is correct, using a filter is a better way to do this as long as a Get Entry event is occurring to trigger it. I would appreciate clarification if I'm wrong, but I believe this only happens if the form is NOT a display only-form, and if it's NOT in New mode. A call to the db must be made on the active form to retrieve data (Search or Modify) to trigger the Get Entry filter event.
