Sandy,

Did you know that just up the road in Long Branch is a PROFESSIONAL theatre
that performs the same world premiere shows that wind up in New York City?
They've world premiered work by some of the best contemporary playwrights in
the country. It's hardly community theatre. And if Asbury Park gets a
theatre, chances are it would develop into a fine regional theatre as well.

Regional theatres like McCarter Theatre (Princeton), George Street Playhouse
(New Brunswick) and Crossroads Theatre (New Brunswick) play major roles in
bringing people to those towns.
