The 8th Ave beach is the surfing beach. I would be very upset if
that were made private. As much as it bothers me that it gets
crowded now, I like having the option of surfing within walking
distance of my house.

In the app.com article, the wading pool is part of the beach club:

"The current plans include a new beach club to be operated by
Madison Marquette and constructed on the vacant Second Avenue
Pavilion site, with an 18-inch-deep wading pool among other
features."

If you look at the photos with the press release, it is like a deck
around this itty bitty pool, with some locker rooms. I just do not
see the point.

Why would I want to come to the beach to lay out next to a kiddie
pool? Even if I had kids, would they not want to play in the sand?
Now, if they re-built the natatorium, that would be cool. A giant
indoor pool with views of the ocean through large windows. It could
be built with a fitness club and used year round, and with a beach
club component for summer. I would totally join that.

seperate concerns. Don't forget, a regular sized pool isn't a beach
club either.. A pool would be a bonus to any beach club. Not all
have them. There will be a beach club with out without the pool.
Look at the small wading pool as a bonus to the already coming
beahclub.

near 8th ave? Where the old salt water pool was situated? I havn't
been following much latly, but is that still idea still open? Maybe
that one was sopose to be private? That sounds familar now.

usefull. Or take away part of the 18 inch wading pool and give to a
regular sized pool. I think what someone said about money i right
tho? i don't doubt their is money to build the pool, but there may
be money needed to pay lifeguards and other public pool fees. But
overall, could it really cost that much for a few months of the
year? For such a large company? I don't know

can play in it, adults can sit near it. I'm sure it would be
nice. We will see what happens.

2nd ave? Where the current mini golf area is located, or more
north? I wonder if this goes next to the planned water park? That
would make more sence if it did.
