History does indeed have value ($$$) - However some of your
suggestions are what some would call 'being a slave to history'. Not
that it is, but be careful suggesting a "backward going" restoration.

The future must be addressed and the past needs to come along for
the ride.

- Ferris Wheel, we need to be very careful with this one as MM has
already proposed building one on a Green Acres space. The REAL
wheel, which Sitar currently has should be re-installed at its
original site along with a replica of the Palace Carousel House (the
original Carousel is available also) A historic setting with a cafe,
nightclub, museum, theater.. vintage arcade games...

That would make AP home to the Oldest Ferris Wheel in the world.

- Skyride, rollercoaster, etc - bad idea The rides that everyone
remembers were mostly portable carnival rides that were set up to
fill the gaps and allow AP to ride out the 60s &70s (the skyride was
permanent but only a seasonal thing) What would make sense along
these lines however is an obsevation tower. Sitar had proposed one
in the plaza between the carousel houses. You know like the one at
Coney Island, a doughnut the climbs up a tall pole and rotates.

The views would be spectacular any time of year.

- SwanBoats, MotorBoats, PeddleBoats - Good nostalgic element but
may be hard to justify on a large scale since its seasonal.

- Natatorium style indoor pool and spa/gym - you bet !! However the
Esperanza was offering those sevices as an internal amenity. I
believe the public could use it also.

--- Lets not foget the Stoe Pony is still threatened with
demolition. Shouldn't that be expanded upon instead ???

More brain-storming... lets go...
