Furniture/expensive clothes... they wont cut it on the boardwalk.
I've walked by Bodega and never see anyone leaving the store with
anything... right next door though, at Candyteria, there always seems
to be someone walking out with probably $15-20 worth of candy.

The restaurants in CH arcade seem to be doing very well. People like
cheesesteaks and clams and sodas and beers. People expect a
boardwalk when they come to the boardwalk. My favorite question here
is, "Where is the video arcade?" Kids love video games. My parents
always gave me $5 to go play games for an hour at Jenks when I was a
kid. It gave me something to do, and gave them a chance to enjoy a
few beers while I played. Although $5 now would probably only get a
kid 2 plays in a machine.

The boardwalk wont make it as a "lifestyle center." For people who
need trendy clothes, they can go to the Grove at Shrewsbury for
that. Its right up the road just like Marshall's.

On a positive note regarding "family entertainment" the waterpark
seems to be coming along nicely. With the waterpark and mini golf,
there are now two permanent family attractions on the boardwalk.
Hopefully the success of the two will only promise more of the same
to come.
