No sorry don't think I missed the point.  Where do you come off saying that I 
think we "deserve" free parking? 
Let me try this again refering back to the initial point of paid parking - if 
Asbury Park is considering charging certain residents $15 for parking, and 
presently some residents are charged $30 per year for parking, then perhaps the 
charges should be $30 per year --for all residents if within a certain # of 
blocks from the beach/downtown, if that is considered a "premium" area to park.
And just so there's no misunderstanding I have no problem paying the $30. The 
$30 is fair. We park in the garage, the street parking is utilized by my 
college-age children.
So this will conclude my discussion on this topic. Please feel free to infer 
whatever additional meaning you desire into my post.
