I cut my own grass as well. My backyard looks and feels like sod but it is
20yrds of soil on top of a concrete pad, and 2 bags of seed. When I bought my
place it had a 2car garage that almost fell down with a small breeze, so we
knocked it down and covered the foundation, saved 10K of having to remove it

I probably drop $500 a year on lawncare products to rid my front lawn of the
crabgrass that the previous owner must have loved since there so much of it.
Next spring it will all be gone.....hopefully.

The school doesn't have the "know how" to keep up with the fields.

But if these kids are this good on real grass. Can burn secondary's like they
do on real grass, they may never lose on that turf

Btw, you can borrow my aerater shoes anytime, they fit up to a size 11, best
$20 I ever spent

Great teams can win on grass.

Personally like football on grass. Mud.

I got done last week "fixing" my lawn.

It cost me $60 to rent a core aerator and about 3 hours of time. Then for the
hell of it, I spent $80 on "sod" seed and I'll probably still splurge another
$75 to pick up another pallet of sod so my I don't have answer to my wife.

I guess I'm odd around here. I am one of the few people I know that cuts their
own grass. Up to this year, i even did the fertilizing. My riding mower is
probably 12 years old now. I cut my lawn on usually my rentals as i purchased
lawn mowers for my tenant's but they really enjoy watching me do it, before I
go to work and they go back to sleep.

Grass. It gives people jobs and keeps all things equal.
