Mr. Tahbildar,

First of all, I have also been served with a similar indignant mail, which seems to have descended distastefully to this low level, to mount an all-out personal attack on Mr. Barada Sarma. I have taken umbrage at that.

I am perplexed, in equal measure, by the content of the rejoinder, purported to be written to you by Mr. Sarma. The tone and tenor appears to be unrestrained in arrogance and overconfidence. It is because of such sentiments, for which there will always be a modicum of misunderstanding and grouse among the Assamese community and will act as a barrier on the unification effort.

KJD.
