Hey Henry,

I had issues with Ubuntu when compiling some open source projects like 
Runnix. But Ubuntu uses a newer Kernel version with a very good realtime 
timer which is important for Asterisk.

Never had any issues with CentOS other than using an old Kernel version with 
a bad realtime timer.

Has anyone had experience with FreeBSD? , technically this O/S should be 
more appropriate for Asterisk
