More info has been found out. Googling for "interrupt sent but has not been delivered" located possible cause. According to several noted writers I need to add either noapic or apic=no to the kernal boot.
How do I do that with astlinux for: A. The CD ? B. TheCF card via IDE ? I assume I change something and burn a new CD for A.
