Re: Computer hardware upgrades and tinkering question

I have never done this, because people keep telling me that it's too technical. The thing is though, I have been wanting to learn more about this stuff for awhile. I've been to the CAVI website and they seem to have a lot of useful material, but it's just too expensive for me to afford on my own. Several years ago at a rehab facility here in the Chicago area, my computer instructor showed us a few motherboards and some other things from some computers which he disassembled. He was honestly one of the best and friendliest instructors there. But last I heard he got charged with some sort of sex crime and is no longer working at the facility. But other than that, I haven't tinkered around by myself inside a computer. As I'm typing this though I can't help thinking to myself about the motherboard in my Dell laptop, and just what it looks like now that it's fried.
