I also remember these books fondly. I have fond memories of listening to the books as I went through high school and college . Books 5-8 were probably the weakest for me, but I thoroughly enjoyed the series as a whole. For those who want to read the Omen machine onwards, I recommend going into it with the mindset that it is a new series, because in a sense it is. Nearly all of the major plot arcs and villains from the previous books are resolved, and while the settings and main characters are the same, the plot and antagonists need to be built from scratch. Once you reach the third kingdom, though, things return to the rather rapid pace from the Chainfire trilogy.
