Getting the initial server setup isn't the main barrier to ongoing use.
The big problem for non-techie users will be ripping and tagging.

Some people actually use their Transporters as digital preamps. If you
want to feed your DVD player through the stereo system, it's as good a
way as any other - I would argue more elegant. But it won't be an
option for Klimax users. I'm not criticising the Klimax for being
minimalist in that way, just observing that the Transporter is more
flexible.

That seems a rather premature assumption. Granted there are Linn
devotees out there who will assume this to be the case (in their world
it's a law of nature that anything without a Linn badge is by
definition inferior), but I didn't have you down as one of them, Adam.

I don't think anyone said it has to have a screen. I think I am the
only person to remark about this, and was merely pointing out that it
means the user interface is more like a Sonos. Nothing wrong with that.
But given this operational mode, the way the remote works is critical to
the usability of the system, and yet the review told us nothing about
it.

I'd say that the sonics of the Transporter are the last thing
Logitech/SD needs to improve.
